Software Characteristics

When we develop the software for computer setup then we also keep some quality of that software in mind. If you want that your software meets to some standards then your software should have these characteristics. Basically there are three types of software characteristics, i.e. operational, transition and revision.

Operational characteristics-
Operational characteristic of the software defines the functionality of the software or you can say exterior quality of the software. Operational characteristic includes correctness, usability, integrity, reliability, efficiency, security and safety of the software.

Revision characteristic-
These include the engineering based factors means interior quality of the software like efficiency of the software or documentation and structure of the software. Revision characteristic of the software includes maintainability, flexibility, extensibility, scalability, testability and modularity.

Transition characteristic-
Transition characteristic of the software includes the interoperatibility, reusability and portability of the software.
